Esthlos back to action
Esthlos is almost ready for his return to the racetrack. He has an entry for the Cesarewich Handicap but will have his first run back (ground permitting) at Warwick on 10th September in a handicap over 1m4f.
This week we have Amber Sunset running at Kempton (Monday 2.30pm) and Mekong Miss makes her racecourse debut at Warwick (Thursday). Crimson Mitre has come out of his promising first hurdle race well and will run at Fontwell on Sunday.
Yard moves into top gear
Our recent run of form has been pleasing with Amber Sunset running consistantly well, Night Lily being placed in a very hot Newmarket maiden and Arthurian winning over hurdles at Stratford. Back at the yard we are busy preparing the next group of potential winners. Pictured below are Pie O My (nearest), Crimson Mitre and Esthlos on the Cambridge Road Polytrack.
Terracotta Warrior nears second run
We have been very pleased with the performances of our two year olds so far this year. Terracotta Warrior (pictured below leading Amber Sunset home after working on Long Hill) will be our next juvenille runner. He ran a good race first time out, finishing 4th although running very green, at Great Leighs. I will be entering him at Haydock on Friday 4th July and hope to see a good run.
Summer jumping team ready for action
We are blessed this year with our largest team to go summer jumping. Tom O'Tara has been running very well in bumpers at Aintree and Market Rasen (3rd place last week) and has shown huge potential at home schooling so his next run will be over hurdles. Stoneacre Gareth (pictured below) is another to enjoy the ground now it is firmer and will be seen in novice hurdles ranging in trip between 2m4f and 3m. Both of these horse look like they will progress into chasers and we are all excited at their future prospects. I will introduce some of our younger horses that are to go jumping in the coming weeks.
Prince Joshua's first run
Prince Joshua makes his long awaited debut on Sunday at Brighton over 12f. It looks a very tough race to start his career but he has been working well and will stay every yard of the trip. We had success with his half-sister Featherlight and expect him to keep up the family honour as he gains more experience.
First 2 year old runner
Amber Sunset has won the race to be our first 2 year old runner of the season. A daughter of Monsieur Bond she has enjoyed the recent spell of warm weather and has come to hand much quicker than expected. She runs on Wednesday 21st at Goodwood with Jimmy Fortune taking the ride.
Prince Joshua will be having his first run at Newmarket on Friday 23rd in a very tough looking maiden race over 10f.
