And the work continues..........
Although the Turf season for 2009 has finished there is no let up at the yard. The training of all the horses at the stable continues as though nothing has changed, other than winter coats being warn by owners, staff and the equine members of the team ! A number of All Weather race courses in the UK means there continues to be an opportunity for runners on the flat, and the yard is also known to turn out a useful runner or two over the jumps.
Preparing for the second canter - Warren Hill
Two more new faces join the yard
Two new horses have joined the yard, a yearling filly by Kheleyf out of Miss Poppets (Top picture) and a three year old gelding by Namid out of Jinsiyah (Bottom Picture). The three year old, named Raimond Ridge, being purchased by his new owner at the recent Tattersalls Horses in Training sales. These new additions reflect the good mix of the age of the horses being trained at the yard.
The yearling filly is available for sale, either as a whole horse or in shares. Please see the 'Horse for Sale' pages of this website.
Offspring of former yard winner returns home.
A yearling filly out of So Elegant, a filly who herself won four times as a three year old for the yard, has joined the Exeter House contingent to maintain the affilliation with the stable. The owners of the yearling, who were also involved in So Elegant, are hopefull that the same success will be had with the yet to be named filly at the "parental" home.

2nd lot returning from Side Hill
Pictured below are The Bully Wee, Carlton Scroop and our unraced Dr Fong filly coming home after a strong canter on Side Hill.
Recent winners Seraglio and Night Lily were joined by If Only on Long Hill. The rest of the yard had a canter on Warren Hill.
Maximus Aurelius has been declared to run on Friday evening at Wolverhampton with Luke Morris riding.
Lady Asheena wins at Kempton
Congratulations to all the team at Exeter House as Lady Asheena (pictured below) won last night at Kempton. She was ridden by Debbie England who gave her a very professional ride.
Our stable jockey, Luke Morris, is now lying 3rd in the all-weather championship and has done very well since losing his claim. We now have a very healthy strike rate of 22% (2 wins from 9 runs). All eyes now on tonights run at Wolverhampton from Carlton Scroop to see if he can keep his good run going (3 runs this year netting a 1st, 2nd and 3rd).
Still snowing in Newmarket
We are now officially fed up with the snow. All the horses are managing to get out safely but it is no fun for them or the lads. Maximus Aurelius and Graylyn Ruby have been gelded so the bad weather is the least of their problems!
