Monday 2nd April
Our run of good results continues with Esthlos performing very well at Newcastle on Saturday to win by 3 lengths. Our last 3 runners have all won and that puts added pressure on Featherlight today (Racing Post have priced up at 20-1 so a big ask of her). She is in very good form and will put in a strong run.
The lads at home (pictured below) are working very hard behind the scenes to keep the run of form going.
Sunday 25th March
OUR FIRST DOUBLE!!!
Well done to the lads at home for both Carlton Scroop (near side) and Esthlos (far side) winning at Wolverhampton last night. Neither horse has been easy to get to this stage and the team at Exeter House deserve a big cheer.
Thursday 22nd March
Pictured above are today's 4th lot horses before their canter on Warren Hill. From front to back they are: Maximus Aurelius (Gihan riding), Arthurian (Shane), Crimson Mitre (Faye), Orchard House (Linda) and Esthlos (Briony).
Carlton Scroop had more stalls work in preparation for Saturday's race at Wolverhampton.
Wednesday 21st March
A very cold morning saw Featherlight, Gaelic Roulette (both pictured below), Carlton Scroop and Esthlos all travel over to the racecourse to work on the Cambridge Road polytrack.
Entries have been done for Carlton Scroop and Esthlos at Wolverhampton on Saturday night and Bill Bennett over hurdles at Southwell on Sunday. Tidal Fury is in very good form.
Thursday 15th March
Tidal Fury lost a front shoe during the Arkle and came home from Cheltenham with a minor hoof injury but will be cantering again by the end of the week. Esthlos came home non the worse for his furlong long barging match at Wolverhampton yesterday. Both horses will be out again, and winning, soon.
Bill Bennett has a host of hurdle entries but I may opt for an all-weather race at Southwell on Tuesday. So Elegant is being covered on Friday morning by Where or When.
Apprentice jockey Gihan Arnolda (seen below on Maximus Aurelius) has been coming in over the last couple of months to ride one or two lots a day and joins us full time on Monday.
Wednesday 7th March
Work morning for most of the horses. Matty Roe came in to school Bill Bennett over hurdles (pictured below). Esthlos and Tidal Fury did a very strong piece of work on the Cambridge Road polytrack canter, while Orchard House and Carlton Scroop also worked well.
