Wednesday 21st February
I make no excuses for yet another picture of Scott (pictured below) on these pages. He has had his first gentle canters back since returning and is making very good progress. Our horsebox is in the paint-shop this week and will return without a blemish. How long it stays like that is anybody's guess! Our horses are starting to come into very good form at home and expect to see a flurry of entries over the next few weeks. 
Tuesday 20th February
Prince Joshua "Josh" (pictured below) has moved up to the main yard and will be cantering soon. Josh already has a fan-base within the stable due to his laid-back personality and expect regular updates on his progress. He is the half brother to our own Featherlight who will be racing at Lingfield either on 24th or 27th February.
Monday 19th February
Most of the yard appeared on Warren Hill at some point this morning for a single canter. Our increasing number of horses has seen us take on two additional staff members who started today. Briony (pictured left on The Bonus King) has racing experience with Godolphin and John Gosden. Shane (pictured right on Eastern Playboy) is set to get his Amateur Jockey licence later this year as a stepping stone to becoming a National Hunt jockey.
Saturday 17th February
Congratulations to Matty Roe who rode a 66-1 winner at Fakenham yesterday. Matty comes in and rides out for us most days when he is not racing, usually on the Nayef colt (pictured below), Arthurian or Maximus Aurelius. Shame he didn't give us the nod....that will cost him a ride!
Friday 16th February
Esthlos, Featherlight and Tidal Fury all did two canters today on Warren Hill. All three horses are in very good form. Eastern Playboy (pictured below) is on the comeback trail after injury and is improving with every passing week. 
Thursday 15th February
A very busy day on the heath. Bill Bennett and Esthlos (pictured below) travelled over to the racecourse with Carlton Scroop so he could try another set of starting stalls he is not used to. Scott has settled into the routine very well and has had some light canters. Doncater Bloodstock Sales have published their breeze-up sale catalogue. The sale takes place between 3rd and 5th of April and consists of 2-year olds who can be seen working prior to the sale. I will be attending the sale so if you are interested in purchasing a racehorse that is almost ready to race please get in contact.
